A top-notch service for you!
BLUE LAB has gone through the NQS rating process by the Education and Care Regulatory Unit.
The rating measures the quality of any Early Childhood Service in Australia. It examines seven areas and scores them within a four-scale system: Needs improvement, Working Towards, Meeting, and Exceeding what is expected.
BLUE LAB has scored 5 Meeting and 2 Exceeding. These last ones were in Relationship with Children and Collaborative with Families, where it really matters.
But how good our score is? Is just good… or really good?
I have long believed in the “it takes a village to raise a child” philosophy because many people and many environments will play a pivotal role in your child’s development! As part of your child’s journey my aim is to provide the best quality early childhood educational care environment for your child while respecting YOU are their first and most important teacher.
As a parent my philosophy was always been to create a strong foundation for my child to grow and develop while providing the best role model with the aim to build resiliency and a strong self esteem for adulthood. Child studies have shown that brain development happens at a rapid pace in the first 5- 7 years of a young person’s life and I believe that child raising needs to be purposeful, holistic, and developmentally focused with many, many opportunities for children to test their new world in safe, nurturing environment.
As a child educator my philosophy has always been to provide children with a safe, nurturing environment that supports child directed opportunities to explore, learn, and develop in their own unique way.
With these philosophies in mind, at Little Explorers Blue Lab Midvale you can be reassured that the teaching environment is rich with play based opportunities that allow your child to explore, create, and learn while nurturing their natural curiosity, cultivating their unique particular interests, and encouraging individual growth.
I have an extensive background working with children both here in Australia and in California (USA). I ran my own family day care service in the past for 5 years here in WA and previously worked as a preschool teacher in California (USA). In addition, I have worked as a nurse assistant at Lady Lawley Children’s Respite Services WA, providing care and developmental support a nurse assistant and worked as a disability liaison worker, providing care and support to children and their families.
I volunteered for the WA Health Department as health promotion assistant providing health information to child care centers, child health clinics and community allied health departments, plus volunteered with animal care awareness groups.
Some months ago I start again in the FDC sector, commencing as an assistant educator with BLUE LAB in one of their FDC.
