BLUE LAB Family Day Care Bayswater
Meeting Sandra and Lorena
I am a passionate primary teacher, and mother of two girls, Chiara and Vera, who enjoys teaching and providing many opportunities for the children to improve their learning. I create an educational environment suitable for their learning in my home. My responsibility is to get children involve, manipulate and discover new learning through play in the stimulating environment.
My role is to create experiences and activities for children appropriate for their ages and develop. Based this experience in their interests, curiosities and abilities. Also, I like to be part of families collaborations and the community to develop children’s learning and skills.
My sister Lorena is going to help me during this year as assistant. She has the Certificate IV in Early childhood. She is 20 years old and she really wants to get experience and enjoy with the children. She loves children and to enjoy with them.

A top-notch service for you!
BLUE LAB has gone through the NQS rating process by the Education and Care Regulatory Unit.
The rating measures the quality of any Early Childhood Service in Australia. It examines seven areas and scores them within a four-scale system: Needs improvement, Working Towards, Meeting, and Exceeding what is expected.
BLUE LAB has scored 5 Meeting and 2 Exceeding. These last ones were in Relationship with Children and Collaborative with Families, where it really matters.
But how good our score is? Is just good… or really good?
Somos bilingües | We are bilingual
En este Day Care hablamos en español, lo cual es genial para niños hispanoparlantes que deseen reforzar y aprender la lengua de al menos uno de sus padres.
We speak Spanish in this center. This is great for english-speaking kids if you want them to start learning a second language at the best possible age.
The first 5 years of a child’s life are critical for development. The changes in the child’s physical growth, as well as her ability to learn social, emotional, behaviour, thinking and communication skills that they need for life. Therefore, my responsibility is to create an educational environment suitable for learning. Where children can manipulate and discover new learning and develops through the stimulating environment and play with age appropriate activities. Small group, individual monitoring, personalised program, more familiar, children best learn working each other.
I rely on the interests of the child and from there I create experiences to increase and develop their own ideas.
A personalized curriculum for each child based on their interests, ideas and abilities. Create individual learning corners to increase their curiosity. I rely on activities where children are involved with the environment, respect, natural materials, recycling.
The children’s need is my priority. Always giving the child independence, choice to choose whenever they want to do as long as the rules and routines of the centre are respected. Treat children with a lot of affection, care, listening and talking with them, being very close and warm to them. Carry out activities where the children have fun and have a great day providing the best opportunities. Teach them good manners, sharing, taking turns, respecting others.
